Our Story

Since 1996, on Chequers Road

In 1996, Chequers Dental opened its doors in a Victorian house on Chequers Road — and it’s been part of the Basingstoke community ever since. Many of our patients have been with us for 30 years or more; some bring in their children, who now bring in theirs. We’ve grown over the years, but what hasn’t changed is the feeling of walking into somewhere familiar.

Technology & facilities

The same address since 1996. The technology has moved on.

Behind our period façade is a fully digital practice. Our in-house 3D printer means many crowns and restorations can be designed and fitted in a single visit, while our digital scanners replace old-fashioned impressions with a quick, comfortable scan. Some things at Chequers Dental haven’t changed in thirty years. The way we treat you has.

Meet Dr. Milad Shadrooh

Dr Milad Shadrooh has been part of the Chequers Dental team since 2004, becoming Principal Dentist and Owner in 2010, with a particular focus on cosmetic dentistry.

Many will also know him as the Singing Dentist, whose dental parody songs have racked up over 250 million views and led to appearances on shows like This Morning and Good Morning Britain.

These days, his focus is firmly back on the clinic — still treating patients personally, supported by a wonderful team of associate dentists, hygienists, therapists, and dental care professionals, all committed to making every visit to Chequers Dental a great one.
